CERN Director-General designated Prof. Mark Thomson has visited the AMBER facility on 8 May

We felt very honored by this visit of the CERN DG to our experimental area. We have discussed the
AMBER physics program and the features of spectrometer, as well as our interrelation with CERN and plans for the
upcoming years. We were very pleased that Mark seemed quite impressed by the scale of the AMBER
facility and the versatility of our physics program. We hope on the further support by CERN for our way to bring strong-interaction physics forward.
